Mark is the Director of Public Policy for AiArthritis. Due to his personal and family history with ankylosing spondylitis and related comorbidities, he understands the challenges, frustrations, and fatigue faced by persons with rare or chronic disorders and has focused his career on helping those with exceptionally high-cost conditions overcome barriers to the quality care they need to thrive.
Prior to AiArthritis, Mark spent more than 19 years advocating on behalf of the bleeding disorders community and another decade expanding patient access to a wide range of specialized treatments, including cochlear implants, home infusion therapies, home oxygen, and power wheelchairs. He managed the institutional reimbursement programs for Wyoming Medicaid, supervised the reimbursement department for a medical device manufacturer, and directed policy and advocacy efforts for national associations representing hearing/speech professionals and medical equipment suppliers.
Mark received a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, a Master of Public Administration from the George Washington University, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Rutgers University. He is based in the Tampa Bay area.
